Surfing with Rebelle Surf

Duration 3 hours
Difficulty Challenging

On the spectacular Atlantic coastline of Strandhill in County Sligo, Rebelle Surf offers the chance to experience one of Ireland’s most exciting coastal adventures. With beautiful scenery, a lively surf culture and waves suitable for different experience levels, Strandhill is the perfect place to discover the thrill of surfing.

Based at the National Surf Centre, Rebelle Surf’s friendly and fully qualified instructors will introduce you to the essentials before heading into the water. You’ll learn how to handle your board, paddle effectively, catch a wave and—hopefully—stand up for your first unforgettable ride. Lessons are supportive and enjoyable, making the experience suitable for complete beginners as well as those looking to improve their skills.

All the necessary surfing equipment is provided, along with access to changing facilities and hot showers afterwards. Whether you manage to stand proudly on your first attempt or tumble into the Atlantic with a splash, the experience is filled with fresh air, laughter and a genuine sense of achievement.

Why we love it

There is no better way to experience Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way than by getting into the Atlantic itself. Rebelle Surf creates a fun and encouraging atmosphere where beginners can feel comfortable giving surfing a try. Catching your first wave is a brilliant feeling—but even falling off makes for a great story later!
