Deep in the Scottish Highlands, Glencoe Valley is one of Scotland’s most dramatic and unforgettable landscapes. Towering mountains rise steeply on either side of the glen, while tumbling waterfalls, winding rivers and open moorland create breathtaking views at every turn.
Carved by glaciers and shaped by ancient volcanic activity, the valley is surrounded by famous peaks such as the Three Sisters of Glencoe. Scenic stops offer wonderful opportunities to admire the landscape, take photographs and enjoy short walks through the glen. With mist drifting across the mountains and clouds constantly changing the light, no two visits feel quite the same.
Glencoe also carries a powerful human story. In 1692, members of Clan MacDonald were killed by government soldiers who had been staying among them—an event remembered as the Massacre of Glencoe. Hearing this story while standing in the valley brings added meaning to a place already filled with atmosphere and natural beauty.
